Chapter 11

Pastoral Peoples on the Global Stage-  From what I learned in this chapter is that the Mongols were a big empire . They even attacked Japan! The Mongols have a big history to their name . As I was reading their map of time in the book . I found it very fascinating how the Mongols ruled so many places . During the 11th, 12th, and the 13th century, was when the Mongols began to rule other places . From the life of Temujin to the high point of Black Death in Europe , Mongols ruled six different territories. They ruled China , Russia, attacked Eastern Europe, Baghdad, and attempted attacks on Japan . I didn't know the Mongols were this big in history. I am very interested in the Mongol Empire now . Especially after the death of Chinggis Khan. After his death is when the empire began to rise .

chapter 10

The Worlds of Christendom- In this chapter it talks about how christianity began to grow big all over the world . In the western world, the Romans had first abandoned the true Orthodox faith, the second had Muslim infields . Later on, Western Christendom changed to rebuild Rome again . Through christianity, many major things changed. Some of the major things were like political life in the Western Europe .   This was very important for christianity because for them , they put god first for everything . After Rome moved to the east it became a god driven territory. Then later the Byzantine empire became linked to a wider world . Then the Russians converted as well . Overall society and the church connected and by doing that it became symbolic for each country .

Chapter 8

China is a very advanced country today and in its' past . While reading this chapter, I was very fascinated about how well China took care of things . For example , the inventions they created have changed our world tremendously. China's inventions is one of the many reasons why we have it easy today . Ancient China , was extremely advanced in the technology aspect and it rarely needed any help from its neighbors . Some of the technologies they made were printing, gun powder, writing, sculptures, and so much more . What I like about those inventions the most , is how widely it got spread around other countries . Almost everyone else around the world was catching on the inventions China had . Another thing that makes me say "wow" is the fact that we still use some of their inventions today. Today , I used one of China's inventions of the printing system . I had to print out a paper for one of my classes , and I thought about Ancient and Classical Chi...

chapter 9

The world of Islam was a very interesting chapter to read .  It was the birth of a new religion and the it got spread out to the world very quickly . The messenger and the message was brought up from Muhammad Ibn Abdullah . He was like the Buddha or Jesus  to the muslim community . He was a powerful leader. What interests me the most about this chapter is the way Arabia transformed into a new community . Mohammad became very known in Mecca and from there the making of an Arab empire started . A lot of followers followed him and believed in his way of teaching . Islam became so big it spread out all the way to Spain  Within that, networks of faith , networks of exchange, and islamic civilizations kept growing . It grew so large to the point where The Kaaba was invented . The really cool thing about this was that it is a sight that everyone that practices Islam should visit it atlas once in their life . Its a stone structure that is located and made...
